My Overall Thoughts

This volcano is the talk of the town right now. It has been featured countlessly on places like Marijuana.com, Leafly, and more.

This is hands down the best all around desktop vaporizer at the moment. Although it comes at a high price tag of $729 it is worth every penny if you’re a vape enthusiast or you are just someone who likes to get the best items. The quality on this vape is ridiculous and it looks incredibly cool sitting on a desk or coffee table. Being a balloon/whip combo is awesome. Sometimes I don’t want to vape a full bag and just take a draw, so it’s really nice to have that flexibility. Also, I love the fact that it works with concentrates as most vaporizers do not work well with them.

If you didn’t see above, I gave straight 10s across the board in terms of vapor quality, density, efficiency, and taste. This is something that I RARELY do. So just know that I was really blown away by it.

Volcano Vs. The Herbalizer – The Differences

Let me say that both are great vapes. You can read my review here for the Volcano if you haven’t. In terms of vapor quality and density both of the units are top notch. I still vape from them both daily. However when comparing both there are some differences between the two that you’ll want to recognize when deciding upon which one to buy.

  1. The Oven – the Herbalizer oven is a little different of a shape and allows for smaller amounts to be packed than the Volcano. This is great for in terms of efficiency and producing dense vapor.
  2. Heat Up Time – Although the heat up time for the Volcano isn’t THAT bad, it’s still more than the Herbalizer
  3. Whip & Balloons – You’re able to draw from a whip or a balloon from the Herbalizer, with the Volcano you can only do the balloon.
  4. Temperature Control – You’re able to completely control the temperature on this unit. Whereas, the Volcano Classic, you cannot get an exact # of degrees. However, on the Volcano Digital, you are able to to control the temperature just as you can with the Herbalizer.
  5. Price – The Herbalizer comes in at $729 where as the Volcano Digital comes in at

Does it Smell?

The smell has to do with what temperature you vape it on and the cooking of the buds in the oven. The actually vapor itself from the balloon or whip doesn’t smell really. It is when you are heating up your buds is when the most smell occurs. So if you are someone trying to combat smell, vape on a lower temperature and it won’t be near as strong. Even vaping on the higher temperatures, the smell is not that bad and subsides after a couple of minutes. So it’s not like a joint where it could be stinky for up to a couple of hours..
